So you’re not a high school senior yet…

It’s never too early to start planning for your future.  Since choosing a college is a major decision, it’s best to start early.  Remember that the decisions you make today, affect your future.  Make sure you keep up your studies because colleges look at all four years of high school, not just your junior year.  Meet with your counselor to discuss your future plans, so that they can get you on the right track to take the courses you will need.

Start to think about yourself and your needs (yes, it’s okay to do it once in awhile!).  Would you feel more comfortable in large classes or small classes?  Would you prefer a career that involves a lot of math?  Science?  English?  Do you hope to play a sport or participate in a certain activity in college?  Start to think about these things, as they can play a role in your college search.  Please refer to the attached documents for a timeline of the sophomore year and timeline of the junior year in high school.

Obviously, you are considering Widener University as one of your college choices because you found this site.  To learn more about the school, talk to one of our admissions counselors.  We may be coming to a school near you.  Please refer to our list of upcoming spring college fairs for more details.  You can also come visit us, check out our visitation options webpage.

Don’t forget to personalize your Widener web experience!  When you come back to the site, it will have information personalized to your interests.  If you have additional questions, check out our Virtual Advisor.
