  • May I take courses in the evening and weekend?

Yes, you may choose to take evening, weekend, or daytime classes. Admission decisions are based on a student’s cumulative grade point average. We do not require specific courses to be completed before being offered admission.

  • When should I apply?

Applications are reviewed on a semester by semester basis. Review of fall semester transfer applications will begin early in the preceding spring semester. Be sure to make arrangements to have your official transcript(s) submitted

  • How quickly will I hear a decision?

Decisions will be made as quickly as possible. Consultation between the Nursing department and Admissions will take place before any decisions are made. Enrollment spaces are constantly being monitored. Admissions decisions will be sent in the mail. We ask for your patience in this process.

  • How will I know when I can begin the clinical portion of the program?

Once you have been admitted, we will instruct you to contact your Nursing advisor. At that time, your Nursing advisor will discuss your progression through the program.

Entrance to the junior level clinical courses occurs only once a year in the fall semester. A student must be enrolled at Widener a minimum of one semester prior to progressing to clinical.
