Undergraduate Scholarships & Financial Aid
Financial aid, which includes scholarships, grants, loans, and student work-study, is money, or the opportunity to earn money to help pay for education expenses. With the exception of scholarships, which are usually merit-based, most financial aid is awarded on a demonstrated need.
A student will be eligible to participate in financial aid funding programs if they meet the following criteria:
- Have a high school diploma, or have a GED.
- Are beyond the age of compulsory high school attendance in the state in which the school is located.
In addition, a student may not be concurrently enrolled in an elementary or secondary institution.
Our undergraduate financial aid program is generous, as we offer numerous scholarships and can help you with obtaining additional financial aid to make your costs, here at Widener, manageable and affordable. More than 90% of our full-time, first-year undergraduate students received assistance through scholarships and grants in the current academic year.
