Transfer Students

Are you thinking about a transfer to Widener from another college or university? Or from a community college? Or are you looking for another bachelor’s degree?

If so, you came to the right place. You’ll find yourself among 20 percent of our new students and treated with the same consideration for academic support, receiving financial aid and finding campus housing as any new undergraduate student.

Information for nursing transfer students can be found on the nursing transfer web page.

All transfer students, except second degree candidates and part-time students, are reviewed for merit scholarships.  A minimum of 12 transferable credits are required for scholarship consideration. Awards are based on a student's cumulative grade point average and major.

The scholarship amounts range from $9,000 – $17,500 per year.

Transfer Credit

A transfer credit evaluation will be completed at the time of admission and sent to applicants via postal mail. However, we expect you to complete 50 percent of the courses in your major at Widener. You can transfer up to a maximum of 64 credits (a grade of C or higher is required). You may also view our unofficial database of transfer course equivalencies.
