IN THE SUMMER   (May 1, 2008 - September 3, 2008)

Prospective students and their families are encouraged to visit Widener University.  Our 100+ acre campus in Delaware County, Pennsylvania (just 7 miles from the Philadelphia airport) hosts 94 buildings with a mixture of modern and Victorian architecture. 

Whether you are just getting started looking at colleges, or you are finishing up the list of schools you wish to apply, Widener University hopes to offer summer visitation options that will meet your needs.

The summer months are popular times to visit Widener.  Although classes aren’t in session and the university doesn’t have its normal academic year activity, a summer visit still gives you a good sense of what the university has to offer. In order to assist you in managing your expectations of the campus visit, we have provided below three options for you to see Widener University.
 

Tours are guided by a student ambassador and offered through the Office of Admissions by appointment during specified times.  Summer Visitation Options include:  

          Option #1:  Tour only 

          Option #2:  Admissions presentation and tour

          Option #3:  Open House

  Visitors are able to schedule a daily campus visit online

     TOUR ONLY

     10:00 AM  Monday – Thursday

•      One hour guided tour of campus.   

     ADMISSIONS PRESENTATION AND TOUR

     11:00 AM Monday – Thursday

• A representative from Widener’s Admissions staff will conduct a 30  minute presentation, give an overview of the university and discuss the admissions process at Widener University.
• One hour guided tour of campus.
• FREE lunch tickets provided for those wishing to sample university cuisine.

     OPEN HOUSE

     10:00 AM          Tuesday, July 15, 2008   &    Wednesday, August 6, 2008

• Widener University and Admissions presentation.
• Academic workshops (meet Deans and Faculty in area of academic interest)
• One hour guided tour of campus.
• FREE lunch tickets provided for those wishing to sample university cuisine.

Personal Interviews
Please note that personal interviews are not required in the admissions process, but prospective students have the option to arrange an interview along with a tour of the campus. Interviewing with an Admissions Counselor provides the opportunity to discuss questions about admissions and academic degree programs.  The Office of Admissions schedules personal interviews daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Call 610-499-4126 or 1-888-WIDENER to schedule.
