Rob Skomorucha

Rob serves as Director of Government and External Relations at Widener University and is located in Chester, PA. 

Prior to joining Widener University, Rob served as Director of External Relations for the Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington. Before arriving at the Museum, Rob served as Interim Vice President for External Affairs at Saint Joseph’s University.  Prior to that, Rob served as Director of Business Research at the Delaware Economic Development Office. 

Earlier in his career, Rob served as Projects Director in the Office of U.S. Senator Joseph R. Biden, Jr. and as a Staff Assistant in the Office of then-U.S. Congressman Thomas R. Carper.

Rob attended Saint Joseph’s University where he studied Political Science and earned a Bachelors degree in 1997.

Rob’s core expertise includes public policy and politics, polling and strategic research, issues management, campaign management, lobbying and corporate public affairs.

In his personal time, Rob enjoys photography, illustration, studying American history from the Progressive Era to the New Deal and broadcasting on the University of Delaware’s public radio station, WVUD 91.3 FM, as frequent guest host of two long-running shows, Scratchy Grooves, and In a Mist.

Rob and his wife, Mandy, live in Wilmington, Delaware.
