Media Organizations

If you use media to connect with your peers, consider one of our student organizations as your next step to the big leagues.

At Widener, students operate the campus radio station, WDNR; the university’s television, Widener TV; and The Blue and Gold, a multi-media news and information platform that combines content from WDNR and the television station with journalistic writing and the power of social media to inform and entertain the university community. All three media organizations provide students with valuable, hands-on experience that they can apply in the job market after graduation.

Students also have the opportunity to produce public programs and publications such as “Live from the Newsroom” in conjunction with the Delaware County Daily Times, and Chester, a magazine for the city of Chester.

The student-produced Widener Ink, the university’s literary journal; and The Blue Route, a national literary journal for undergraduate writers, provide opportunities for those students with an aptitude for create writing.
