Service Organizations

We take service pretty seriously here.

At Widener, we build leaders who understand that giving back is an important part of growing up. You’ll quickly see that service to others forms a significant part of the Widener experience. It’s evident in class. You’ll see it on campus, too-- all clubs and organizations require members to perform service in order to stay in good standing.

For students who want to do more, the university has several opportunities. Consider Community Fellows, where students design volunteer programs that connect peers with organizations needing help. The Presidential Service Corps/Bonner Leaders program also cultivates students who become leaders through service.

Other service clubs include Habitat for Humanity, Rotaract Club, Alpha Phi Omega, and Alternative Spring Break, which sends dozens of students on service trips to sites across the country, from Amarillo to Asheville.
