For Transfer Students

We're thrilled that you've chosen to continue your undergraduate studies at Widener!

Check-in for transfer students depends on whether the student is required to complete the Fall Orientation program in full. While we encourage all transfer students to participate in Fall Orientation, doing so is only required for students who 1) have less than 32 credits; 2) are 24 or younger; and/or 3) are living on campus.

Pride Experience Two Group

Check-in is on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. (Please see the table below for the specific time you should report to campus.)

Commuters (Freshman & Transfer): Check-in is at 1 p.m. in the University Center Atrium.

Transfer Transitions Group

Check-in is from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2013. Students should report to the University Center to complete the check-in process. Resident students in the Transfer Transitions group can pick up room keys in the Office of Residence Life between 8 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.

Every school is different, so we encourage transfer students to attend orientation to learn about the services that Widener University offers to our community.

Widener also offers three specialty orientation programs for students interested in getting more of a head start. These programs range from the general to the specific, with one focused on developing leadership skills and the other providing a wilderness experience.

Transfer students are placed in two categories. Admissions will inform incoming transfer students of their assigned category by the end of June.
