What happens during Orientation?

Events listed below are subject to change.

Day One

Orientation programs begin after freshman check-in. All new students are requested to attend welcome remarks by President Wollman. After families say goodbye, the day continues with a freshmen BBQ and a brief explanation of university expectations.

Days Two and Three

The second and third days of Fall Orientation focus on getting adjusted to campus and learning about our University mission. The days include first-year workshops hosted by C.R.E.W. leaders and university staff on topics such as service initiatives, the ABC's of Fraternity & Sorority Life, decorating your own room, and making good social decisions.

Some students will have the opportunity to participate in The Common Freshmen Experience. The evening includes exciting entertainment and opportunities to get to know your new classmates.

Day Four

Convocation will begin the day’s events, marking your formal entrance to collegiate life at Widener. Enjoy your evening with friends by participating in your first Pride Night!

Days Five and Six (Optional)

These days are optional and consist of planned activities on campus and bus trips to the King of Prussia Mall and Wal-Mart. Spend the days setting up your own room and preparing for your first day of classes.

On day six, join the Pride Activities Council for food, fun, and excitement as they kick off the school year with the annual Welcome Back Bash!
