Pre-Orientation Experiences

Start with Pride – Start Prepared!

Can't wait to dive into your college experience? Get a head start by attending one of our five-day pre-orientation experiences before school begins.

Whether you want to experience what it's like to be a college student, learn about leadership, or explore the outdoors, all of our programs offer great ways to connect with new and current students, faculty, and staff.

Get to know Widener's campus and resources before class even starts by joining the 1821 Experience. Students will explore how multiculturalism adds to the Widener experience, and what "We're All Widener" really means. You'll have the opportunity to meet new friends, establish peer support networks through group activities and seminars, explore the cuisine and culture of the surrounding Chester and metropolitan areas, as well as prepare yourself for a successful transition to college life.

Project Lead

Exploring leadership and igniting passions to contribute and affect change in Chester and beyond.project lead

Jump-start your involvement as a student leader on campus and in the community by attending Project Lead. Students connect and engage with civic leaders and like-minded classmates through workshops and team-building activities, participate in service experiences, and explore Chester and the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Project Lead participants will leave the program with a stronger understanding of their strengths and how to build and lead a team to bring about positive change.
