Pride Experience I: Summer Registration

As the name hints, Summer Registration, also known as Pride Experience I, is a full one-day session held in June or July designed to register admitted students for fall classes.

It's also a great opportunity to meet fellow classmates and CREW Leaders, explore campus life, and gain helpful information about academic and personal support services available on campus. Students should leave Summer Registration feeling completely prepared to arrive in August.

Summer Registration is required for all incoming freshman, except international students, who have paid their enrollment deposit.

Have a parent or family member that wants to learn more about student opportunities and resources? Bring them along! New students are encouraged to bring up to two family members. Parents and families will attend a separate orientation session just for them. Lunch will be provided for students and families.

Preparing for Summer Registration

    • Prepare Health and Immunization Information. All incoming students are required to submit a Health History Form and a Pre-Matriculation Certificate of Immunizations Form to Student Health Services by June 25 in order to remain in good standing. Forms can be dropped off to a Student Health Services representative during your selected Summer Registration session.

    • Create your e2Campus Alert Account. All incoming students are encouraged to create their free online alert notification account powered by e2Campus. The notification system will be used to communicate urgent news – including information on emergencies and class cancellations – directly to your cell phone or e-mail account.

    • Purchase a parking permit. All incoming students are permitted to have a car on campus but will need a permit to park in a campus lot. Parking permits are valid for the academic year, expiring the last day of August.

    • Complete your math assessment. Some students may be provided the option to challenge their assigned math assessment level. If you receive a notification via your Widener email address that you are eligible, please complete the math assessment at least one week before attending summer registration.

  • Get the Scoop, a Widener University newsletter for all new students.
