widener pep band

Widener Pep Band

The Widener University Pep Band is an opportunity to represent the students of the Music Department at athletic events (football and basketball) throughout the fall and spring semester.

Whether you play an instrument, sing, draw, paint, act, or dance, students who love the arts have an outlet for expression at Widener. The arts play an important role in how we understand and define ourselves and the communities in which we live.

At Widener, you can explore the arts through coursework or by participating in the many performing arts groups and events on campus. Whatever your passion, there's something for you at Widener.

Service learning and community outreach are also a big part of the performing arts. The FreshBaked Theatre Company, a Widener student ensemble, produces free or low-cost quality drama for schools and families in greater Chester. The Gospel Choir also performs at local events in the area.

Participation in the arts is something we can all do—as audience members or as performers.
