Bring a first aid kit including:
- Band-Aids or other adhesive bandages
- antibiotic ointment
- elastic bandage
- thermometer
Recommended Over-The-Counter Medications
- Ibuprofen
- Tylenol
- Pepto-Bismol
- antihistamines
- decongestants
- antacids
When bringing prescription medications:
- Bring enough to last until you can return home to refill or transfer your prescription information to our local pharmacy.
Student Health Services carries some prescription medication.
Have your prescription insurance card on file at either of the following pharmacies:

Always carry a copy of personal health insurance and prescription card.
Call the member services phone number on the back of the card if you need a duplicate. Understand your plan's rules for referrals and out-of-network care for specialist referrals and diagnostic tests.
Know if you need a referral for different types of specialized care (i.e. X-rays, specialist visits).
Medical alert bracelet/necklace
Recommended for diabetes, seizure history, medication allergies, or other significant medical conditions. Ordering brochures available in the Student Health Center and at most pharmacies and provider's offices.
