Fraternity & Sorority Life
Robin Lavery '13, of Delta Phi Epsilon, won this year's Ms. Widener contest sponsored by the brothers of Pi Lambda Phi. Slideshow.
The ladies of Zeta Phi Beta, Widener's newest sorority, have arrived on campus! Check out photos from the probate ceremony!
Check out our Flickr collection of Greek Life photos. Some of these are pretty good.
At Widener, we have more than 300 members in five fraternities and five sororities who participate in everything from community service and athletics to academic programs and student outings.
The local chapters of these nationally-affiliated organizations are based in tradition, values and leadership. Members believe that the experience they have in their organization has been like no other, providing them the opportunity to build lifelong friends, help their community, and develop goals for the future.
An Overview
Widener University fraternal organizations have a proud history of community and University service, school spirit, and academic achievement. Our Greek-letter organizations pride themselves on helping their members meet new people who share common beliefs such as honor, service to others, and dedication to their community.
Many members and the people around them believe that joining a fraternity or sorority provides them with a support system in which they learn more about University programs and services, the opportunity to network with alumni, and valuable leadership experience through service as a member of their organization's executive board, as a chairperson of a committee, or through serving on a governing council.
We are proud to offer Widener students an all-encompassing learning experience and we sincerely hope you will explore your options when GOING GREEK!
