Career Advising and Planning Services (CAPS) provides resources and guidance to assist students with all aspects of career development. CAPS counselors will help you choose a major, explore career options, obtain just the right internship, apply to graduate school, or find a job.
Students give high praise to such services as workshops on job search strategies, writing a resume, and learning to interview successfully. CAPS sponsors three on-campus career fairs every year and arranges visits to campus from leading businesses and organizations. Students who are unsure of their major should take the FOCUS online career inventory and make an appointment to meet with a CAPS counselor.
CAPSnet, a web-based system, further extends your access to career planning information. Accessible online 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CAPSnet allows you to check out an extensive database of employers offering summer jobs, internships, and full-time positions. ![]()
