Post Graduation Survey Class of 2007
- 83% (402 out of 483) of the graduates in the Class of 2007 provided information on their post-graduation plans.
- 80% indicated they are employed and 4% are still seeking employment.
- 16% are pursuing graduate studies on a full or part-time basis. Travel and other plans, including non-graduate school professional training, account for the remaining 4% of the graduates
- Graduates are employed by a diverse group of over 200 local, regional and national employers.
- Those selecting graduate study enrolled at 21 graduate and professional schools located throughout the United States. (See Appendix 1 for listing.)
- 71% of the employed respondents provided salary information. 91% of the salaries reported are $30,000 and above annually. 31% indicated a salary of $50,000 or above.
- 47% cited a campus-related contact or referral as the Method Used to Locate Position, including on-campus recruiting, job fair, CAPS referral,
co-op/internship, or faculty contact.

SUMMARY OF RESULTS BY SCHOOL OR COLLEGE
College of Arts and Sciences*
- 77% of the 181 graduates responded.
- 65% are employed by over 70 diverse employers. 5% are still seeking employment.
- 28% are enrolled in graduate study full-time or part-time at a total of 15 graduate and professional schools.
- In the Humanities Division, 65% are employed and 12% are pursuing graduate study.
- Among the Science Division graduates, 67% are employed and 21% are attending graduate or professional schools.
- 64% of the Social Science Division graduates are employed and 35% are in graduate or professional school.
- The average of all the salaries reported is $38,006. 57% of these salaries are $35,000 and above.
- The average of the reported salaries in the Humanities Division is $35,006; $44,313 in the Science Division; and $34,328 in the Social Science Division.
School of Engineering*
- 89% of the 44 graduates responded.
- 90% are employed by 29 diverse organizations. 13% are enrolled in graduate study, full or part-time. Only I graduate (3%) is seeking employment.
- 67% of the Chemical Engineering graduates are employed with 33% in graduate school full-time. For Civil Engineering graduates, the breakdown is 100% employed and 17% in graduate school part-time. 88% of the Electrical Engineering graduates are employed. 92% of the Mechanical Engineering graduates are employed with 8% (1 student) pursuing full -time graduate study.
- The average of the reported salaries is $50,129. 42% of the salaries are $50,000 and above.
- 63% reported utilizing a campus-related source as the Method Used to Locate Position, including 24% who listed on-campus recruiting, job fair, or CAPS referral and 36% who cited co-op or internship as the contact source.
School of Hospitality Management*
- 78% of the 32 graduates responded.
- 88% are employed by over 20 organizations representing various segments of the hospitality industry. 8% are in graduate school and 8% are pursuing other plans, including non-graduate school professional training.
- The average of the reported salaries is $35,406. 50% of the reported salaries are $35,000 and above.
- 54% reported a campus-related contact or referral as the Method Used to Locate Position. 36% specifically listed co-op or internship as the contact source.
School of Nursing*
- 84% of the 95 graduates responded.
- 93% are employed full-time by 25 different healthcare-related organizations. 4% are in graduate school full or part-time. 4% are seeking employment.
- The average of the salaries reported is $52,771 and 68% are $50,000 and above.
- 52% reported a campus-related contact or referral as the Method Used to Locate Position. 33% specifically listed an internship or practicum as the contact source.
School of Human Service Professions*
- 92% of the 36 graduates responded.
- 82% are employed by over 20 different educational and social service organizations. 21% are pursuing graduate study on a full or part-time basis.
- The average of the reported salaries is $32,500. 55% of the reported salaries are $30,000 and above.
School of Business Administration*
- 91% of the 95 graduates responded.
- 85% are employed and 9% are enrolled in graduate study on a full or part-time basis. The various employers number over 50 different organizations. 5% of the graduates are seeking employment.
- Of the Accounting graduates, 94% are employed and 11% are in graduate school. 80% of the Management graduates (including all concentrations) are employed and 9% are pursuing graduate study.
- 65% of the annual salaries reported for all business disciplines are $40,000 and above. The average of all the salaries reported is $42,551.
- The average salary for Accounting majors is $44,184 and $39,862 for Management majors (all concentrations combined).
- 50% cited a campus contact or referral as the Method Used to Locate Position, including 39% who listed on-campus recruiting, job fair, or CAPS referral and 8% who cited co-op or internship as the contact source. The percentage for total campus contact or referral increases to 70% for Accounting majors.
