The faculty believe that the essence of scientific endeavor is research and that the best way to learn how to properly conduct research is to perform it. Accordingly, faculty are actively engaged in research and involve students in their research programs. Students, with faculty sponsors, routinely attend and present papers at regional and national conferences. Summer cooperative education and internship opportunities are available in all science disciplines.
