Psychology is the scientific study of human behavior and mental processes. Students may choose to study this field out of personal interest, as preparation for graduate study, or as preparation for careers in fields such as mental health counseling, child guidance, or personnel management.

Widener University offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in Psychology. The undergraduate major program is located in the College of Arts and Sciences, Social Science Division. The Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program is located in the School for Human Service Professions, Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology.
