Commencement Ceremony Instructions
- All candidates for graduation must follow the instructions to participate in the commencement ceremony: Graduate Student Instructions (Friday), Undergraduate Student Instructions (Saturday).
- The seating chart shows the order of procession and assigned seating: Graduate Commencement Seating Chart (Friday), Undergraduate Commencement Seating Chart (Saturday). It is helpful to print out the page you are on in the chart and bring it with you to commencement. Note that you can quickly find your name in the document by using the "Find/Replace" function: Click at the top of the document in the first column, then press Ctrl-F (Mac users press Command-F) to open the Find/Replace feature. Next, enter your last name in the search field and click the next arrow until your name is highlighted.
- This chart shows the processional route that graduates will follow on commencement morning.
- Note that actual diplomas will be mailed to all graduates. Candidates for graduation will receive an empty tube during the commencement ceremony.
Important Security Precaution: No Backpacks, Large Purses, Bags, Etc., at Graduation
The safety of our students, staff, faculty, and guests is of the utmost importance. Therefore, we request that all graduates and their guests refrain from bringing bags, backpacks, large purses, or containers to graduation events. Please leave these items at home or in your vehicle. Diaper bags are an exception, but are subject to search. For the safety and security of our community, Campus Safety officers may search any bags and containers that are brought to graduation events. Please do not leave your belongings unattended at any time. Report any unattended bags or suspicious packages to a Campus Safety officer. These security precautions are for your protection.
