Special Needs Seating
Special needs seating is available for guests who have medical conditions. This seating is not closer to the commencement platform than general seating. Due to limited space, we will only be able to accommodate a few guests per party in the special needs seating area. Others in the party will need to sit in the general audience. Guests may also watch the ceremony broadcast live in one of our air-conditioned viewing areas. The ceremonies will be broadcast in Alumni Auditorium, Founders Hall, and Freedom Hall, as well as Academic Center North first-floor rooms if there is inclement weather.
A sign language interpreter will be available. Please complete the online request form if you would like to be placed near the sign language interpreter.
A drop-off area is available for those with conditions that prevent them from walking distances.
Passes are required for special seating and drop-off areas. Students can obtain a pass by filling out the online request form, which will be posted here in April.
Once a pass is approved, students can pick it up at the University Center front desk, which is in the Atrium on the main level, between May 9 and May 17. Requests must be made by 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, and passes should be picked up at the front desk in University Center by 7 p.m. on Friday, May 17.
