Special Needs Seating
Special needs seating is available for guests who have medical conditions. This seating is not closer to the commencement platform than general seating. Due to limited space, we will only be able to accommodate two guests per party in the special needs seating area. Others in the party will sit in the general audience. Guests may also watch the ceremony broadcast live in the air-conditioned Alumni Auditorium or Founders Hall.
A sign language interpreter will be available. Please complete the online request form if you would like to be placed near the sign language interpreter. The form will be posted here in January 2014.
A drop-off area is available for those with conditions that prevent them from walking distances.
Passes are required for special seating and drop-off areas. Students can obtain a pass by filling out the online request form. The form will be posted here in January 2014.
Once a pass is approved, students can pick it up at the Bookstore. Requests must be made by 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, and passes should be picked up in the Bookstore in University Center by 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 15.
The Special Needs Seating pass will not grant admission to the Field House if there is inclement weather. Guests who want to sit in the special needs seating area in the Field House will need an Inclement Weather ticket in addition to the pass.
