Emerging Issues within the Aging Service System: Two International Perspectives
The Center for Social Work Education presents a lecture on the emerging issues regarding older adults and aging service systems in the United States and Thailand, featuring keynote speakers Dr. Decha Sungkawan, dean of School of Social Administration at Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand and Ann Danish, director of care management at the Philadelphia Corporation on Aging on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. in Lathem Hall.
Both speakers will share their experiences, perspectives and knowledge on the challenges faced by practitioners, public administrators, family caregivers, and older adults. Following the presentation, attendees are invited to discuss such issues with the visiting public administrators, practitioners, and social work faculty from Thailand.
This event is free and open to all students, faculty, and staff. Two CEUs will be available for $25.00 to interested participants who attend the full session. Payment must be in the form of a cash or check made out to Widener University. Payment will be taken at the door. Light refreshments will be served.
