Widener Ranks Among Best Online Colleges in Pennsylvania

Widener ranks sixth in the Commonwealth for its online programs, according to TheBestSchools.org. 

Widener University is among the top in the Keystone State for online learning, according to a ranking of the Best Online Colleges in Pennsylvania by TheBestSchools.org. Widener is number six on the website’s ranking of the top ten.

TheBestSchools.org selected the online colleges and universities in Pennsylvania based on the quality of their programs, types of courses and degrees offered, faculty strengths, school awards, rankings, and reputation, including a strong reputation for online degree programs.

“In ranking the best online colleges in Pennsylvania, giving attention to the variety of degree programs available at the institutions is of utmost importance,” according to TheBestSchool.org.  “We are dedicated to showing who’s leading the way in delivering quality online degree programs in Pennsylvania.”

Widener University President Julie E. Wollman said she was pleased with the ranking because of the effort the university has put into expanding its online offerings and the services it provides online learners.

“We are excited to receive this recognition for our efforts,” Dr. Wollman said. “We strive to provide our online students the same level of service and satisfaction for which we recently received record high scores in a national student satisfaction survey.”

Widener University offers a wide variety of associate, baccalaureate and master’s degrees online. Master’s degree programs include business administration, social work, allied health education, educational foundations, instructional technology and jurisprudence. Bachelor’s programs include allied health, liberal studies, organizational development and leadership and professional and applied studies. Associate degree programs include allied health, liberal studies, general studies, radiologic technology, and professional and applied studies.
