Widener names new leader for Development and Alumni Engagement
Jim Gulick has joined the university as associate vice president for Development and Alumni Engagement.
Widener University is pleased to announce James K. Gulick has joined the staff as associate vice president for Development and Alumni Engagement.
As associate vice president, Gulick will oversee administrative teams dedicated to strengthening relations with alumni of Widener and Pennsylvania Military College, and to fundraising that positions Widener to build on its success.
Gulick came to Widener from Saint Joseph’s University where he served as executive director of development for the Haub School of Business. He also served as assistant vice president for alumni relations, and later director of athletic development, at La Salle University. He began his career as an assistant coach for the track and field program at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
“Jim has a deep knowledge of university advancement after working 28 years in higher education,” said Theresa Travis, vice president for University Advancement at Widener. “He has an impressive record of accomplishment and brings great insight to this important role. We are proud to welcome him to the advancement team.”

Gulick, a resident of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from La Salle University.
