      Widener Football Broadcast

Can't make a live game? Tune-in to 610 Sports Radio for the play-by-play.

Widener University Director of Athletics Jack Shafer and JAKIB Media Sports, the multimedia company based in Jenkintown, Pa., have announced an agreement with The New ESPN Sports Station in Philadelphia, 610 Sports, to serve as the flagship for the Widener JM Sports Radio Network beginning this fall.

The station, part of Beasley Broadcast Group, Inc. will carry all Widener football game broadcasts on the radio station and/or the radio station stream (www.610amsports.com), which includes both home and away contests, during the 2016 season. The station is already the flagship home for Villanova Athletics, so any game time conflicts will mean that Widener games will follow Villanova's games. Widener games may also air on one of Beasley's other radio station properties within their network.

"Our new association with 610 Sports – ESPN Radio is a partnership that will prove to be invaluable to Widener football," said Shafer. "ESPN Radio 610 allows us to have our football games on a sports-radio format that will provide a great fit for our listeners. We feel this offers a comprehensive listening package for our fans in the Delaware Valley and nationally."

The football broadcasts will be available outside of the Philadelphia listening area. Alums and other fans from a greater distance can download the Tune-In Radio App for free and listen to the broadcast from wherever they reside. In addition, fans can listen to broadcasts by visiting www.widenerpride.com.

Go to www.610amsports.com for additional broadcast details.
