New Editions of Widener Magazine and Civitas Now Available
Widener Magazine, Fall 2016
The cover story in the fall issue of the Widener Magazine focuses on the university's multifaceted sustainability efforts, including the addition of the Taylor Arboretum. Other feature stories include university-wide efforts to support Youth Court, a program that helps to stem the school-to-prison pipeline, and a focus on the need for nursing educators and the Widener School of Nursing's 50th anniversary.
Hard copies of Widener Magazine are available on campus in racks in University Center, Wolfgram Memorial Library, Lipka Hall and the Kapelski Learning Center. It also can be found online.
Widener Law Commonwealth also has a new edition of its magazine, Civitas, released earlier in October. The cover story focuses on the school's history as a starting point for many military lawyers in "The Making of a JAG Attorney: Where the Law and the Military Meet." Other articles include "Is There a Better Way to Elect the President?" by Professor Michael R. Dimino Sr. and a piece about torts scholar William Prosser by Professor Christopher J. Robinette.
Civitas can be found on the Harrisburg Campus and online.
