      Natasha Lewis

Director of Development and Alumni Engagement at Commonwealth Law

Natasha Lewis loves connecting with people, and in her role at Widener Law Commonwealth, she gets to do just that for a living.

Lewis joined the Widener Law Commonwealth team in 2013 as the director of development, but since the split of the law schools in 2015, she took on additional responsibilities to promote alumni engagement. She connects with alumni and community leaders, organizes alumni events and creates opportunities for alumni to support projects benefiting Commonwealth Law students.

“Asking alumni to give provides opportunities to connect people and creates opportunities to help the law school continue to grow,” she said.

Lewis works one-on-one with alumni to develop events that will help create a deeper connection with the law school for both the alumni and the current students. Looking forward, she is working to further the mission of the law school by developing funding channels for quality programs and networking opportunities for the alumni community.

“Our alumni are in amazing places in their careers, and now is the right time to reach out and grow their connection to Widener Law Commonwealth.  The law school is just as worthy as other non-profit organizations to receive support from our alumni,” she said. “My job is to foster those relationships to make sure we are connecting, engaging and growing with our alums.”

Lewis also enjoys watching the growth of the Commonwealth Law students. “It’s always amazing to watch the transition from student to practicing attorney.”

In her free time, Lewis enjoys spending time with her family, sewing and exploring hiking trails in Central Pennsylvania. She lives in York County, Pa., with her partner, Eric, and her children Kayla, 18; Kenny, 15; and Aidan, 6. Lewis is originally from Baltimore, Md.
