      Widener Announces Faculty Promotions, Tenure Awards

      Tenure and Promotions

      Faculty promotions and tenure awards have been announced for fall 2018.

      Widener University congratulates members of its faculty who have been awarded promotions or tenure effective fall 2018. The decisions were approved by the Board of Trustees after recommendation by President Julie E. Wollman.

      “The faculty at Widener University has an unparalleled dedication to excellence, collegiality and student success,” Wollman said. “I congratulate each of these individuals on reaching these milestones, and thank them for the roles they play in preparing our students to lead in their communities and in their careers.”

      From the School of Nursing:

      • Donna Callaghan of Williamstown, N.J., promotion to professor.
      • Normajean Colby of Brookhaven, Pa., promotion to associate professor and award of tenure.
      • Stephanie Jeffers of Glen Mills, Pa., promotion to associate professor and award of tenure.
          

      From the College of Arts & Sciences:

      • Yufeng Mao of New York, N.Y., promotion to associate professor and award of tenure.
      • Suzanne Mannes of Wilmington, Del., promotion to associate professor and award of tenure.
      • Mariah Schug of Baltimore, Md., promotion to associate professor and award of tenure.
      • James Vike of Malvern, Pa., promotion to professor.
          

      From the School of Human Service Professions:

      • Courtney Slater of Philadelphia, Pa., promotion to associate professor and award of tenure.
      • Kristen Lefebvre, of Wilmington, Del., promotion to professor.
      • Bob Wellmon of Glenolden, Pa., promotion to professor.
         

      From the Delaware Law School:

      • Bruce Grohsgal of Merion, Pa., award of tenure.
          

      In addition, the board also approved changes for staff at the Wolfgram Memorial Library. These include:

      • Jill Borin of Chadds Ford, Pa., promotion to librarian.
      • Molly Wolf of Havertown, Pa., promotion to librarian.
      • Susan Tsiouris of Haverford, Pa., renewal of five-year appointment.
      • Rosalyn Goldstein of Chester Springs, Pa., renewal of five-year appointment.
