Stephen Wilhite, dean of  the School of Human Service Professions and associate provost for graduate studies, was quoted in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on April 21 regarding university involvement in "community" schools, such as the Widener Partnership Charter School. The story was also featured in the York Daily Record and the Centre Daily Times on April 26.

The Wilmington campus for the School of Law was recognized on April 17 by The Humane Society of the United States for its new cage-free egg policy, which promotes sustainability and improves the lives of animals.  The News Journal also recognized the efforts on April 25.

Members of fraternity Pi Lambda Phi were featured in a vlog by All That and More with Tracy Davidson (NBC10) on April 1 for their efforts to speak with Gov. Ed Rendell to show him their support of House Bill 883, which would require all children in Pennsylvania to be screened for all 29 potential diseases.

"Peace of Mind", a monthly column written by doctoral interns from the Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology, was featured on March 18 in The News of Delaware County.  This month, written by student Jennifer Kirsch, focused on teen substance abuse and warning signs of possible usage.

The Widener Partnership Charter School was featured in the March 14-20 edition of the Philadelphia Business Journal in an article about how corporate and university involvement brings technology and enhanced resources to local schools.

Lawrence Hamermesh, professor of law, was quoted in The New York Times on March 11 and again in The New York Times on March 12 regarding a high profile Delaware legal case set to determine voting control over IAC/InterActiveCorp.  Hamermesh was also quoted for similar stories published on Yahoo!
