LAPTOPS & ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ENGINEERING FRESHMEN

Does this describe you?

• You will graduate from High School in spring 2008 with a combined math and verbal SAT score of 1150 or higher.
  
  
• Your grade point average is 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), or you are in the top 20 percent of your class.
  
  
• You are enrolling in one of Widener's engineering day programs in fall 2008, and will remain enrolled as a full-time student for three semesters pursuing a designated engineering curriculum.

If so, you will have a guaranteed laptop.  A Widener application is required.  No separate application for a laptop is required. This program is only open to high school students who have not previously enrolled in any other post-secondary institution. Transfer students are not eligible.

Our optional cooperative education program enables you to graduate in just four years, not five.  In addition to completing our accredited four year engineering curriculum, you will gain one year of industrial experience during your "co-op" assignments.  You can choose from an extensive list of local, regional, national, and international corporations.  Widener faculty and staff ensure your individualized program meets our high standards.
