Every student needs time to relax and socialize outside of the classroom. Whether you are a commuter or a resident student, there are a more than 80 clubs and organizations that can provide a constant stream of opportunities and activities in which to become involved.
Because Widener takes pride in contributing to the community, programs such as Alternative Spring Break allow students to get involved in the community by interacting with families.
- Explore hosting your own radio show on WDNR-FM, or audition for a play with Theatre Widener.
- Test your hiking, hiking, and kayaking sills in the Outdoor Adventure Club, or lend your skills to the Environmental Club.
- The Live and Learn Media Center combines Widener's student media outlets and a dormitory, providing aspiring communications professionals with an opportunity to become immersed in a media-rich experience that will perpare them for a successful future.
In addition, the University Center is the living room of the Widener campus. It is the site where students go to relax, hang out, eat, and inquire about the events and programs that are scheduled to take place on campus.
Because Widener encourages leadership and initiative among students, employment to students is available throughout the school year with work and non-work study program. Such enable students to make work-related decisions and learn from experience.
At the end of the day, as a member of the Widener community, it's about challenging yourself to get involved, make a difference, learn all that you can, meet new people, and -- have fun.
