We hope that the information provided will give you a clear picture of our social work programs and the activities of the Center for Social Work Education. Please feel free to e-mail or call for additional information.
The Center for Social Work Education, one of the academic units of the School of Human Service Professions, offers Baccalaureate of Social Work (BSW), Masters of Social Work (MSW) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs.
Our Main Campus is located in Chester, Pennsylvania, approximately 20 minutes from Center City Philadelphia. We also have MSW program offerings on Widener's Harrisburg Campus. Please visit our Harrisburg MSW Program link for more details.
Small, seminar-style classes, with an average of 15 to 18 students, encourage class discussion, and personal and professional growth. Our emphasis is on the student's individual growth and learning through relationships with faculty and classmates. We encourage you to compare our course offerings, educational philosophy, flexibility, and accessibility with other social work programs you are considering.
Widener University is an independent, non-sectarian, co-educational academic institution offering over thirty programs in a broad range of academic and professional disciplines including business, engineering, education, clinical psychology, social work, physical therapy, law, nursing, health administration, and arts and sciences.
The presence of a variety of professional disciplines allows our students to participate in a range of interdisciplinary activities.
We are very sure that you will find that the Widener University Center for Social Work Education not only meets your needs, but also provides the best education and training available.
