University College Scholarships

University College awards several academic and need-based scholarships throughout the academic year.  Because many scholarships are made possible through gifts from various benefactors to Widener University, most individual scholarships have specific and differing eligibility requirements.  We have found that it is easiest for students interested in being considered for scholarships made available directly through University College to submit a general scholarship application.  The Dean will review each application for any appropriate award available.

Scholarships awarded through University College may include:

The Edith Hannum Scholarship

General Adult Scholarship

Women’s Club of Swarthmore Scholarship

Applications for the 2009-2010 academic year should be submitted by July 31, 2009 for the fall 2009 semester and November 30, 2009 for the spring semester.
