UNIVERSITY COLLEGE

What is University College?
University College serves the growing community of part-time adult undergraduate students. Courses are offered in the evenings, on the weekends, and through online or distance learning classes, as well as, an accelerated format known as NetCampus. University College is the part-time adult undergraduate college of Widener University and offers both associate and bachelor degrees.

Where is University College located?
There are three campus locations, the Main Campus located in Chester, Pennsylvania, the Exton Campus located in Exton, Pennsylvania and Wilmington Campus, located in Wilmington, Delaware.

All Widener University students and employees must register with Campus Safety each motor vehicle owned, operated, or brought onto campus in conjunction with their attendance or employment.

What makes University College so different from all the rest?
University College courses are specifically designed with the adult learner in mind, and University College faculty members are experienced adult educators who bring real-world experience to the classroom.

Flexible scheduling options are also available during the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.

  • Evening classes are offered in fall and spring and in two six-week summer sessions.  Classes meet Monday through Thursday, for about three hours per session.

  • Weekend classes meet every-other Saturday either from 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. for a total of  seven classes over the 15-week semester.
  • Online or distance classes are 15 weeks in length. Online classes are delivered through a web-based software called WebStudy.

  • NetCampus classes meet once a week for six weeks with supplemental online class time. The NetCampus format is an accelerated course format that allows students to take two courses within a 15 week semester. NetCampus courses combine weekly class meetings with online learning activities in an accelerated seven-week format. NetCampus classess are offered on the Wilmington, Delaware, and Exton, Pennsylvania campuses.

  • Summer Evening classes meet twice a week for six weeks. There are two summer evening sessions per semester. 

  • Summer Day School is also another option.
