Student Employment

University Center Administration employs a large number of students. We have a variety of  jobs for students with differing commitments, availability, and employment needs. There are also opportunitities available for responsible students with qualified background experience. 

All employees are treated fairly and considerately. University Center Administration adheres strictly to the guidelines on discrimination provided by Widener University. At no time is any employee permitted to be treated in a way that is discriminatory.

Qualifications

All student employees must be currently enrolled part-time or full-time as either an undergraduate or graduate student in a Widener University academic program of study. Positions are available for Federal Work-Study and Non Work-Study with preference given to students receiving Work-Study. Prior work experience with an emphasis on customer service and/or leadership is highly preferred.

Pay

$7.15–$8.00 an hour for all student positions, with exact rate dependent upon position. The pay scale is determined by the Office of Student Employment.

Hours

All student employees are expected to work two-hour shift minimums for at least six hours per week. Student employees may not exceed 15 hours per week during academic sessions.

Reporting Structure

All student positions are supervised by an area building manager who is a part-time student employee and a peer. These supervisors have excelled in their role as a University Center student employee and have accepted the additional responsibilities of the building manager position. All student employees are indirectly supervised by the Assistant Director of University Center Administration.
