About Me

I have worked in academic libraries since 2009. I received my BA in Anthropology with High Distinction from the University of Iowa in 1998. After working in music and political activism, I attended Drexel University, earning my MS in Library and Information Science in 2013. Academic librarianship at Widener gives me the satisfaction of helping students in their civic and intellectual growth, building a different kind of relationship than the professors who grade them. I try to help students to “see through” sources of information, and more critically evaluate its producers’ power, self-interest, and authority.
