About Me
I received my undergraduate degrees in physics and applied mathematics from North Carolina State University in 2006 and subsequently my PhD in mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2011. I completed my doctoral dissertation in the area of low-dimensional topology under the supervision of Dr. Ciprian Manolescu.
Prior to coming to Widener in 2014, I worked for three years as a G.C. Evans instructor in the Department of Mathematics at Rice University. I also worked as a mathematics instructor for the first three years of the Rice Emerging Scholars Program (2012–2014), an intensive six-week summer boot camp in science and math for rising Rice freshmen who plan to major in STEM fields.
