About Me
My sole purpose in working for the nonprofit sector has been to leave a permanent, visible impact on our world. After spending more than 20 years in smaller, grass-roots nonprofits, I took a leap in the world of higher education as Widener's Director of Sponsored Research and Foundation Relations, where I get to work closely with our faculty on identifying and obtaining grant funding for their research or projects.
I think it is important to explore global philanthropy, to learn from and share fundraising knowledge with organizations and nations whose culture of giving is still developing. To that end, I enjoy presenting locally and abroad on issues related to fundraising. I am also particularly interested in introducing younger generations to the concept of philanthropy.
