I am a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania, who specializes in treating post-traumatic stress and related reactions in children, adolescents, and young adults. I work from a ecological systems orientation and believe that in order to promote mental health and wellness in individuals, we must incorporate all stakeholders, including families, schools, community organizations, corporations and governments, into the change process. As the director of the PsyD/MBA dual degree program, my goal is to train a new generation of social entrepreneurial psychologists who will be leaders in sustainably tackling our society’s greatest multi-systemic challenges, such as childhood traumas, homelessness, economic inequality, racism, sexism, environmental disasters, domestic and international terrorism, and other broad-range social problems that impact individual mental health.
Areas of Expertise
My areas of expertise include trauma psychology, child and adolescent development, psychological assessments, small business management, start-up operations, and leadership/professional development.
I am interested in exploring the relationship between poverty and the mental health and wellness of members of historically marginalized communities.
