About Me

My teaching area includes courses in solid mechanics and applied engineering mathematics. I believe a good professor is dedicated to her/his students and devotes time and energy to them. Good teaching is teaching not only the "book knowledge," but also a "life knowledge."

In my career, I have done what I can to inspire and encourage my students to learn and develop passion for learning and good interpersonal skills. Each student is unique, so we need to keep that in mind.

Research Interests

My research interests include mechanics of composite materials, damage initiation and growth in composite laminates subjected to static and fatigue tensile and compressive loads, theoretical and experimental fracture mechanics, mechanical behavior of materials, strength and failure analysis, and applied mathematics.
