About Me
I joined Widener and the MSA office in January 2022, and work with students, staff, and faculty on DEI issues and initiatives across the three campuses, focusing especially on LGBTQIA+ issues. From training sessions to cultural events to collaborations with campus partners, my goal is to help make Widener a safer, more inclusive community.
Before coming to Widener, I was an Assistant Director at the Center for Research and Fellowships at Villanova. Preceding that was an entirely non-linear journey that includes growing up in Israel (yes, I do speak Hebrew), dropping out of college, attending graduate school in Toronto, making countless cups of coffee for about a decade, discovering higher education, working in corporate publishing, and other twists and turns. All of those, and my experiences as a trans person, a person dealing with mental health issues, and moving between cultures and living in in-between spaces, inform the work I do.
I live in West Philadelphia with my partner, our kids, the kids’ dad, 2 cats, and the queer and trans young people who join our household for varying periods of time.
