The ability to think creatively is the one core human truth that will remain relevant in the coming era of 5G and artificial intelligence. Duncan Wardle believes everyone has the power to be creative. Even though the world may be doing its best to inhibit our creative expression, our childhood creativity does not dissipate — it just lies dormant, waiting to be brought back to life.
Leaning on 25 years working with the Walt Disney Company, most recently as head of Innovation and Creativity, Duncan will present you with an “Innovation Toolkit”; a unique set of creative behaviors and innovation tools that will enable you to engage in revolutionary thinking and drive results at work, school, and in any organizations of which you are a part.

The Beideman Visiting Scholars Program brings world-class speakers and scholars to the Widener campus on an annual basis to stimulate discussions on current and pertinent theories and practices related to leadership development and the effective exercise of leadership. The Beideman Visiting Scholars Program was made possible by a generous gift from Paul and Caroline Beideman.
Beideman Visiting Scholar, Duncan Wardle: As head of Innovation and Creativity at Disney, Duncan led the team that helped Imagineering, Lucasfilm, Marvel, Pixar, and Disney Parks to innovate, creating magical new storylines and experiences for consumers around the globe. As founder of iD8 & innov8 he now brings his extensive Disney experience as an innovation speaker, delivering keynotes, workshops, and ideation forums around the globe helping companies embed a culture of innovation into everyone’s DNA.
