Social Work CEU: LGBTQ+ Intimate Partner Violence

Join the Social Work department for an informational session on LGBTQ+ Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). In this session, Speaker May Booth with discuss how to better support LGBTQ+ survivors of IPV, how interpersonal violence impacts these communities, and how IPV is impacted by homophobia and transphobia. 

May Booth is an experienced educator and advocate specializing in LGBTQIA+ competency, traumainformed care, and violence prevention. May holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Women’s Studies from Colorado State University and their educational background focused on the impact of social movements on politics. CEU events and CEUs are free for current Widener students, faculty, and field instructors. Widener alumni need to pay $10; everyone else, $25. Payment will be collected at the end of the event. After the event, you will be emailed your certificate.
