Provide Care in Widener's Pro Bono Clinics

Give back—and gain critical experience—by working in our pro bono, multilingual Speech-Language Pathology Clinic. You'll also have an opportunity to work alongside our physical therapy, occupational therapy, clinical psychology, and social work programs in our student-run, pro bono, interprofessional Chester Community Clinic. In both settings, you'll serve clients who are culturally and linguistically diverse.

Benefit from Interprofessional Experiences

Interprofessional work will serve as a defining characteristic of your graduate experience. In class, in clinical experiences, and beyond, you'll learn to collaborate with students and faculty in neighboring fields. What can you learn from how an occupational therapist delivers ethical, patient-centered care? What role does a social worker play in a client's overall health? These experiences will help you master the team approach to holistic care.

In this program, your education will go beyond clinical experiences and service delivery models. Starting in your first semester, you'll study professional ethics and practice ethical competencies. You'll also have an opportunity to participate in the speech-language pathology leadership board in our pro bono Chester Community Clinic. You'll graduate as a skilled therapist who demonstrates professional and civic leadership.
