About Me

My passion is helping students discover their potential while working alongside faculty and staff to build innovative academic programs that prepare graduates for meaningful careers.

My teaching experiences focuses on leadership, organizational behavior, human resource management, and statistics. My research has focused on issues of economic and racial equity in college athletics, and I've published and presented my work at regional, national, and international conferences.

Outside of work, I love traveling and seeking out new adventures with my spouse, Clay. You'll usually find me cheering on my favorite sports teams (always Team Gritty), working on a home improvement project, or spending time with our dog, Charlie.

Personal Insight for Students

Success in college isn't about having all the answers—it's about being curious, asking questions, and being willing to step outside your comfort zone. Say yes to opportunities, build relationships with your professors and classmates, and don't be afraid to fail. Some of the most valuable lessons come from the challenges you didn't expect.
