Student Health Services — Free, Easy & Right on Campus
Widener provides confidential, student-centered medical care to support your health throughout your time on campus. You can access care when you need it, without added stress. Visits with our highly qualified health care providers are free.
Evaluation and treatment of acute/chronic illnesses and injury
Dispensing of medication, if indicated
Immunizations, tuberculosis screening, and flu shots (only available during flu season)
Laboratory tests
Routine gynecological health care examinations, STI screenings with evaluation and treatment (if indicated), birth control starts/checks, emergency contraceptive pill
Referrals to Counseling & Psychological Services and Disabilities Services, as needed
Athletic pre-participation physicals for returning athletes
Wellness Vending Machine: Access to Everyday Needs
Taking care of yourself should be simple. Widener’s wellness vending machine gives you quick access to everyday health and personal care essentials whenever you need them, so support is always close by. Located in the University Center, the machine provides convenient access to items like pain relievers, cold and flu medication, allergy relief, and other quick comfort essentials to help you stay well and keep moving throughout your day.
A Pride Pantry Center provides free access to food, personal care items, and everyday essentials to support students when they need it most. Designed to be welcoming and discreet, it ensures you can get what you need without added stress or barriers.

You’ll have access to convenient, nourishing meals and dining options designed to support your health and well-being. Guided by chefs, dietitians, and current nutrition research, dining services make it easier to make choices that fit your lifestyle.
Stay active at the Pride Recreation Center—home to state-of-the-art cardio and strength-training equipment and open recreation space. Work out in our fitness rooms, play sand volleyball, or grab sports equipment for informal recreational activities with friends.
Stay active with student-led fitness classes that vary each semester, offering a mix of options like yoga, cycling, kickboxing, taekwondo, and more.
Join a Club or Intramural Sport
