
Campus Safety Officers
Our highly trained Campus Safety Officers patrol the university's campuses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Working closely with local law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services, our officers are committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all members of the Widener community.
Campus Safety Officers serve as a resource for students, faculty, staff, and visitors by providing assistance, responding to emergencies, and helping connect individuals with university resources and support services when needed.
Our Campus Safety Officers:
- Respond to safety concerns, emergencies, and requests for assistance
- Monitor and respond to criminal and suspicious activity
- Conduct routine patrols of campus buildings, grounds, and residence halls
- Support students and community members during emergencies and critical incidents
- Coordinate emergency notifications, timely warnings, and crisis response efforts
- Direct emergency response and evacuation procedures
- Promote campus safety through education, outreach, and community engagement
- Supervise fire and life safety programs and response activities
- Provide escorts, unlocks, and other campus assistance services
- Serve as a resource and point of contact for students seeking support or guidance
