Any violation of this policy is considered a breach of the Widener University Student Code of Conduct and may also constitute a violation of the Equal Opportunity, Harassment, and Nondiscrimination Policy. Widener University urges all community members who witness, experience, or become aware of behavior that may constitute Hazing, Aggravated Hazing, or Organizational Hazing to report the incident to the Office of Student Conduct. Reports can be made in person, by calling 610-499-4391, or online via the Hazing Incident Report Form. In the event of an emergency, contact the Department of Campus Safety at 610-499-4200, or dial 911, if off campus. All reports will be promptly investigated and shared with the appropriate University departments.
In compliance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act and the Timothy J. Piazza Antihazing Law, Widener University will publicly disclose all violations of its anti-hazing policy in a summary format. These reports will be updated biannually, on January 1 and August 1 of each calendar year. Additionally, statistics related to anti-hazing violations will be included in the University’s Annual Security and Fire Safety Report.
