About Me
I've always been driven to create spaces where people recognize their inherent worth. My experience includes working in various settings and with diverse populations such as residential treatment, nonprofit program management, education, and long-term outpatient therapy. In recent years, my primary emphasis has been on supporting the trans and queer communities. I'm committed to celebrating the creative strength and self-assurance that queer and trans individuals possess, especially recognizing the contributions of Black trans women who have paved the way for numerous advancements. My work is grounded in understanding the impacts of systems in our everyday lives.
In my administrative capacity, I view relationships as the cornerstone of my approach to supporting students in achieving their goals. The foundation of my relationship-building process lies in trust, recognizing that individuals are the experts in their own needs. In situations where discerning one's own needs can be complicated, there is space to work alongside one another. My goal is to be open to how students' identities intertwine with their involvement in the social work program at Widener. My intention when collaborating with people is to jointly expand our capacity for imagining love, abundance, care, life beyond binaries, and freedom.
