About Me

Born and raised as a true Philadelphian, my educational experience includes a M.S. degree in Criminal Justice from West Chester University; M.S.W. from Widener University; as well as Post Graduate Certificates in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arcadia University and Trauma from Bryn Mawr College and most recently, I am a graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University Grace E. Harris Leadership Program, Class of 2022.

With over 20 years of practical and administrative experience in the field of Social Work, I have worked with adults, children and their families, from diverse backgrounds and within various settings.  These settings range from foster care, education, medical and residential treatment to inpatient hospitalization. This also includes the intersection of medical, mental health, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and addictions across these populations.

My career in academia began in the early 2000’s when I was asked to guest lecture for the mental health portion for a BSW class at Cabrini College. My love for the academia world and teaching continued to grow and I was provided an opportunity to teach at my alma mater, Widener University, Center for Social Work Education.  Formerly as an Assistant Professor for the VCU School of Social Work team, I have returned to my alma mater, Widener University as the Director of Field Education.
